The Peru Trip

Even in the new capital, Lima, Peru is a very poor country. It shouldn't be. It was once one of the richest, in both culture and wealth. It was plundered by the Spanish who, by 1572 had destroyed an empire, ended an ancient civilisation, and shipped all of it's treasures back to Spain.
