Nasca Maps

Lines were made by removing dark pebbles from the light desert floor.

Simple lines are perfectly straight and can run for miles.
Trapesoids are larger areas cleared of pebbles, often piled around the edge forming a dark outline.
Anamorphs and other symbols were usually drawn using a single line to trace the entire shape. At either end, the line may run off into the distance as a standard straight line.
