The Peru Trip

A grand church built by the Spanish, resembling the much older cathedral on the North side of the square (behind me).

Cusco is the "ancient Inca capital" of Peru.
Inca roads reached out to every principality of the Inca empire. The riches of Cusco were plundered by the Spanish, who left the grand Inca palaces and temples in ruins. They declared the fishing village of Lima to be the new capital.
